We have made an extremely hard decision  due to the fact that we are retiring and no longer breeding horses,  we decided  that standing in a paddock and not being bred (our choice not his) was wasting his training, natural ability, fabulous disposition and stunning conformation and color.   At six,  he's still young, derby eligible and we think he  will make a fantastic amatuer/non-pro/ gelding for our daughter to show.  With that in mind we have decided to geld him.  He will be much happier being utilized for what he was bred to do and he can DO IT ALL from reining to cutting, to reined cow.    Clint Griffis  who has been conditioning Mickey said "He is an awesome arena horse".  Mickey hadn't been ridden for over a year and half and was doing flying lead changes, cross overs, sliding stops etc. with absolutely no buck in him.

Mickey went to Washington for a year of cutting training with Buster Smith but he  was unable to finish Mickey's  training due to health issues.  After a few weeks at home  Rick Mendes,
who had never ridden him and Lean On Me who had never been trained in reining went to  a Charlie Smith Reining clinic.   It was a testament to both Rick and Lean On Me's ability and the fine job Buster did in starting him.

Lean On Me is the result of a lifetime of breeding horses.  He has a huge hip, gorgeous, head, mind boogling natural ability..   He has a kind and gentle way with a disposition that everyone comments on.  He loves to be groomed, bathed and in general is an  attention ham.
Lean On Me is NOT a barn baby, he loves to work anything, including balls, feed tubs, tires, etc.  If it won't move he moves it, rolls it, pushes it, thows it etc. He is a "Natural Cow Horse", accounting for his great desire to work.   While in cutting training at Buster's, Buster noted that he would literally work the barrels in his arena  without a rider and the moment the buffalo entered the arena, he wanted to "work them".  Buster said "He is the most want to colt I have ridden in 15 years and almost trains himself".  The Smart Little Lena, Doc's Hickory cross is magical and it's been proven time and time again.
Don't miss the chance to own one of his foals.
